adidas and Kid Cudi take it all the way back to the early-‘90s this season, creating a version of the Torsion Artillery Hi to commemorate the latest movie from the Bill & Ted franchise. The model was laced up by Keanu Reeves' character, Bill, in the second instalment from 1991, and this pair retains the bold on-court aesthetic that was prominent in the era. It’s cut to sit high above the ankle, with the tongue extending even further, and has a stabilising Torsion system underfoot for all the support needed while playing in the post. Or, playing in a rock band, as was the case with Ted. And it’s that rock band, the Wyld Stallyns, that’s of note here — it’s seen bursting out from each heel as a final nod to the franchise.
